Beauty amid the chaos

Working with a deliberately vibrant palette — notably absent of black paint — these dynamic abstractions capture the many representations in our lived experience. The energetic brushwork mirrors light’s constant motion, creating interplay and rhythmic patterns from the darkness. Each layer of color builds upon the last, echoing how light accumulates in our lives through moments of joy, connection, and conscious presence.

This series stems from a deeply personal practice of seeking beauty amid chaos, of intentionally choosing joy and connection in a world that often moves too fast for us to notice its inherent vibrancy. While these pieces emerge from my individual experience, they touch on universal human themes — our search for meaning, our recognition of time’s precious nature, and our capacity to find wonder in the ordinary.

The kinetic energy in my brushwork speaks to the constant motion of existence, creating rhythmic patterns that emerge from apparent chaos. Through this abstract expressionist approach, I explore the interplay between intentional movement and spontaneous gesture, much like the dance between our chosen paths and life’s unexpected turns.

My intention is that these works act as beacons in a space — gentle memento mori that ask you to sit with discomfort and reflect. In doing so, they anchor you to what matters most: the recognition that time is finite. Not to frighten, but to awaken us to the preciousness of now — transforming our perspective from overwhelm to gratitude.
